The idea seems elegantly simple. Water and oxygen are critical to successful plant growth. And, by developing a way to expose a plant’s root system to more oxygen through the watering process, this actively growing root system will improve a plant’s health and yield will improve.

The Science
Ovation Science is the exclusive worldwide licensee for a patented electrolysis technology that significantly increases the level of dissolved oxygen in water, far beyond what nature can provide itself. This super-oxygenated water increases plant performance through better root respiration. Root respiration is critical for root growth, providing the plant’s ability uptake water and nutrients.
Ovation Science partnered with a number of independent sources to conduct a series of controlled tests that examined the impact of increased dissolve oxygen levels on various types of plants. These tests were supervised by Dr. A.H. (Bud) Markhart, Horticultural Science, University of Minnesota. Plants were irrigated with water consistent with dissolved oxygen levels found in ground water and compared with super-oxygenated water. The results were significantly positive for the flowering of petunias, pansies and snapdragons, as well as for more brilliant color with coleus. Tomato and bell pepper yields were increased both in fruit number and weight. Tests conducted on seven different plant variety mixes (a total of 12 different species) used in hanging baskets also generated positive shoot and root growth for all mixes tested.
